RescueLove Inc.

RescueLove? Oh, we're the fairy godparents of shelter animals! We jazz up & enrich their lives with fun activities, outdoor adventures, exercise plans, and loads of socializing. Plus, we capture all the cuteness on camera and spread the word on social media to find them their perfect forever homes!

Our current challenge: Transportation

Our main focus is to give shelter dogs a break from their confined spaces and allow them to experience freedom and relaxation, even if just for a day. The quality of life for animals in shelters can decline rapidly. To enhance their well-being, we provide enrichment activities, in parks and fields outside of the noisy shelter, such as exercise, playgroups, socialization, and training.

Success Stories

  • Harvey

Harvey came in as a scared young man who had major trust issues- growled, barked and intimidated crew. Interventions were implemented through training in shelter, play with other dogs, and follow up training. His adoptive family, being key to his continued success, applied all things learned through follow-up training. They now have the most perfect boy! Harvey’s video is on the home page above.

  • Lila to (Luna)

Lila progressed from a wild animal with zero impulse control-to an adoptable young lady who can now manage in the real world, thanks to some much-needed training and follow up. Check her progress out here https://youtu.be/h4BmjbWUeTI?feature=shared

  • Harrison

In shelter, Harrison was mischievous and wild. He was the star or “helper” dog in playgroup, and he taught MANY other dogs how to play. He brought out the best in both timid and overly stimulated dogs. Harrison lacked impulse control and boundaries when it came to playing with humans and he accidentally bite many of the staff and volunteers during play, which made him a difficult adoption. His naughty behavior was corrected swiftly and redirected to appropriate play. Now, Harrison lives the life of Riley with trainer Dylan and his family! • Mila & Harry

Harry was a long-term resident who had some leash biting behaviors that kept him from being chosen but since he was a star in playgroup, he made the perfect match for Mila, who was timid when it came to play. Harry showed Mila that playing was FUN and they became best friends. A lovey couple wanted two pups and this cute couple was the perfect fit!

  • Jesse Duke

Jesse Duke is currently joining us in an extensive training program to help him learn manners and become the boy he was meant to be. He’s almost 100 LB’s so it’s imperative that he learns how to remain in control of himself and practices boundaries. We take him to a nearby park and practice recall, drop, extended stay, play, and leash manners. Once he is adopted we will continue to assist the new owner in any way possible to continue with his training. https://youtu.be/jCOPpr2N4vA?feature=shared

  • Kai

Kai was becoming a long term resident and nobody could understand why. We took him out for a skate and play day where he received a long skate and plenty of freedom, training, play, and socialization. We made videos of the day and posted them on social media. He looked beautiful and full of life in the videos and within a few weeks he was adopted!
